Living the Life of the Soul

 

What does the life of the soul mean? Why would we want to live in such a way anyway? The soul is our wise and sacred aspect. It has a holy kind of innocence that imbues life with a deeper satisfaction and meaning. It is artistic and funny, not always serious and religious. Its innocence imbues life with a freshness and excitement.

The soul moves toward expression by way of our lives. If we stretch a little to help another, our soul feels satisfaction and so do we. If we release more soul energy into our lives, we feel more excitement and involvement in the life process. It is the soul who knows how to love, not our personality.

It is the soul's perspective that all things are connected. Therefore what's good for me at a deep organic level, will also be good for those I love. If I am in right relationship with Self, it follows that I will be in right relationship with the world. It is part of Self-love to recognize this. Connecting intimately with the soul stops all that referencing outside of self. The soul knows how to be appropriate and can be highly relational.

We can be in the world as a soul and make it work.
